Coach Tyler here. I’ve got a question for you…How many times have you heard this:
“If it tastes good, it’s bad for you” or, “I can’t eat anything I like if I want to lose weight”?
That’s just NOT true and I am going to prove it to you! I’m not going to give you some baby-size serving size of high-priced gourmet cuisine. No, at HOS we’re real people like you who like to eat and we GO BIG! We’re talking cookies that you can eat while shedding fat and adding muscle! Oh, and I should mention that you can eat the ENTIRE batch and STILL lose fat! (Who eats 1 cookie anyway!)
As some of you may know, I have an unfortunate and unheard of combination of food allergies (chicken, turkey, fish, shellfish) and on top of that I happen to be EXTREMELY picky! This is to YOUR benefit because it forces me to be very creative with finding new foods and recipes that I like (thank you culinary background!) The best thing is, these cookies have only 5 ingredients that are all very common, and easy to acquire. No need to spend 15 minutes looking for an ingredient you have never heard of and are not even sure if it’s good for you or not! I bet you have atleast half of these in your house RIGHT NOW!
- Sweet Potato
- 1 Egg
- Egg Whites
- SMOOTH Almond Butter
Those are ALL the ingredients you need right there! Now enough rambling from me, here is the instructions to make these delicious cookies!
- Preheat Oven to 350
- Peel, Cook, and mash 1 large sweet potato and set it to the side
- Mix 1 egg, ¼ cup of egg whites, 3tbsp of smooth almond butter, and ¼ -½ cups of oats (depending on needs!) and mix well
- Once ingredients are mixed then add in the potato and mix WELL
- Scoop onto cookie sheet (either non stick or use a GOOD fat to make it nonstick), this should make between 8 and 10 cookies
- Bake for 20-25 minutes
- Let cool and enjoy

That is the basic recipe and it’s absolutely delicious! A few things I have tried adding in to this recipe include coconut flakes, protein powder (chocolate flavor), and a banana. Just remember that every ingredient you put in should be of the HIGHEST quality AND fit YOUR nutritional needs for the day!
